It's easy! I'm writing a short story for Lit Mag, and I need some more characters. The basic plot goes like this:

Mythology. To us now, it sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo. But were those gods and goddesses, those mythical creatures, those heroes, were they actually real?

Yes.

The gods and goddesses, after faith in them diminished and was replaced by other religions, the gods slipped away to a parallel dimension that they created with their divine powers. They opened up various small portals through which they could enter and exit, but no mortal could dare reach. For thousands of years they have resided in this dimension, but with current years, they have grown bored. So, they decided that they would get a few mortals (both male and female), give them powers, and give them an incentive. Through a dream, each god or goddess participating (not all of them wanted to) would come to the mortal they backed and tell them that, if they happened to defeat all of the other mortals who possessed power, they would be able to become a god or goddess (sounds impossible, I know. Just go with it). The source of the power they will give is infused in a gold charm (each one has a different shape) on a gold bracelet. When the mortals fought, the winner got the loser's charm (or charms), and, as a result, their power as well.

So...that's it. I've decided to have the setting in a small, out of the way town. Near the town is a prestigious boarding school, Ravenwood Academy.

Here are the gods and goddesses involved in the story. The charm is in parentheses. If any of them are left blank, I don't have an idea for them. Let me know if you have any plan.)

Fire: Hephaestus (Flame)
Water: Poseidon (Trident)
Earth: (Either a rock or a tree)
Air: (Cloud)
Light: Amaterasu (Sun)
Darkness: Hades (Skull)
Thunder: Thor (Hammer)
Ice: (Snowflake)
Moon: Bast (Cat's Head)
Judgment: Anubis (Scales)
Time: Chronos (Hourglass)
Wildlife: Artemis (Bow)

Alright, so most of the powers, like fire through ice, are self-explanatory. The owner of the charm gets limited control over that element. But, for the other four, let me explain:

Moon--This is more like luck. When the person uses it, the moon will change phases, and they will become luckier (or unluckier, depending on the circumstance). The closer to the full moon, the better luck for the user; closer to the new moon, the worse luck.

Judgment--My favorite. This is probably the most powerful of the abilities, but at the same time, the riskiest. This would work the best with both the Moon and Time skills. It's also very short-range. The Divine Scales (like the ones Anubis used to weigh a person's heart against the feather of truth) appear behind the user. The user can then reach forward, pull the victim's heart out (not literally), and place it upon the scale against the Feather of Truth. After the scale settles, if the heart is heavier, that person automatically loses. If the feather is heavier, however, the person automatically wins and the user of the Judgment power loses. The user cannot move while using the ability, so their opponent can easily stay back and use ranged attacks.

Time--The user can slow down, speed up, rewind, or completely stop time for a short while. A large hourglass appears behind them and turns over, allowing them to slow down or stop time for that amount of time.

Wildlife--Very fun. The user can summon up animals from the general area in which the user is (in other words, if the user is in a forest, they may get foxes, snakes, badgers, and other forest-dwelling animals). The animals then fight for you for a limited amount of time.

SO...this is where you come in. It's up to you to find out a god or goddess to represent the powers not already filled in. Then, once I have all of them filled in, people can start claiming characters! That way, you can be sure to have a character in my story! <3
